    　　After reading the letter Annie realized her life would never be the same again．She couldn't believe what she had just read and so she read it again．Still, it was true．She was now extremely rich, the owner of the best hotels in London．

    　　Her uncle had died and left her all his fortune．They had never met as her mother had argued with her uncle when her mother had married a poor doctor．Annie knew very little about her uncle as her parents did not want her to know anything about a rich relative when they hardly had anything to eat．
