    　　Swimming is among our favorite water sports. We have seen that millions of people enjoy swimming each year. Fortunately, we have seen the danger of careless swimming, too. Every year more and more pools are being built. In these places, people unable to swim learn to do so by having experienced teachers and life guards protect them from danger.     　　A good many swimmers are unable to take advice from life guards. A lot of people in the world lose their lives by drowning every year. Their lives are lost because people are unable to swim, or do not swim properly, or do not take proper caution when in the water.

    　　To risk unknown waters is to invite danger. Sometimes swimmers depend too much upon water wings. They help us while we are learning to swim, but we should not depend upon them too much in deep water. Although water wings can keep us a float, they are not easy to keep in place.
