题目列表(包括答案和解析)

Have you ever posted your photos on the Internet? Would you mind if people cut part of your photo, perhaps your face, and paste(粘贴)it into other photos as a joke? Most people would not like to be made fun of in this way. However, it is not uncommon for people to find such pictures of themselves on the Internet.

We are living in an age of information explosion. People work, play and communicate with others over the Internet. However, we must always bear in mind that some people may use others personal information for unpleasant purposes. A good example of this is what happened to a 25-year-old man. He received an e-mail that appeared to be from his bank, asking for his bank details. However, after he sent his account(账户) number to the sender, he found that money was  stolen out of his bank by online criminals.

This story warns us and reminds us never to tell strangers information such as our real names, parents names, telephone numbers or home addresses. Remember to remove any private information, like your photos, after using another person's computers. Also remember not to give out unnecessary but important information when filling in online forms. We need to learn to keep our private information safe. This is the key to protecting ourselves in a world where the Internet is becoming more and more important.

根据短文内容,回答下列问题。
Have you ever had problems in your life and don't know how to be happy? If so, you will find "Being a Happy
Teenager" written by an Australian writer Andrew Matthews useful.
In his book, Matthews tells us how to have a happy life and answers the questions of teenagers.
There are many subjects, such as parents and friends, and the book says we should stop being angry and
should forgive (宽恕). The book tells us some useful skills, such as how to put what you have learned into
pictures of your mind to make your memory better. Many teenagers think that happiness comes from a good
exam result or praise (赞扬) from other people. But you can still be happy when there are no such "good" things.
Success comes from a good attitude (态度). If you learn from problems, you will have success in the future.
Some school students have problems, such as being too tall or too short. But Matthews tells us that happiness
comes form thinking in a positive (积极的) way. If you are tall, people notice you and you can get a better view
(视线) at the movie; if you are short, your clothes and shoes take less room in your bedroom! This is Matthews'
most important lesson: You choose to be happy!
1. What's the name of the book written by Andrew Matthews?
    __________________________________________________
2. What's in Matthews' book?
    __________________________________________________
3. According to the passage, where does happiness come from to many teenagers?
    __________________________________________________
4. Is it right to think in a positive way?
    __________________________________________________
5. What's Matthews' most important lesson?
    __________________________________________________

A recent survey of 2000 parents in Britain showed that they are often afraid of science questions asked by their curious children only because they have no idea what the answer is. Here is a list of some simple questions that you can ask your parents to see if they know the answers.

Q: Why is the sky blue?

A: You probably know white sunlight is made up of seven colors. While it moves in a straight line when going through space, it starts to divide as it hits “raised area” in the atmosphere. The ones with longest wavelengths pass through easily. The blue , however , can be taken in by the gas molecules (分子) because it has a shorter wavelength , which in turn scatters (使分散) it in different directions. That’s why when you look up at the sky, it appears to be blue.

Q:Why does the moon sometimes appear during the daytime?

A: The simple answer to that is because just like any other object it is being lit by the sun. As long as it is around 45 degrees or even 90 degrees off the sun, it will receive light and be able to be seen. The only time it is not able to be seen during its 28-day orbit (轨道) around the earth is when it is right between the earth and the sun. That’s because its back , which is not lit by the sun, is facing us.

Q: Where do birds/ honeybees go in winter?

A: While the bird part is quite easy, since a lot of them get together and travel, the honeybee part is likely to puzzle your parents. It turns out that these busy insects stop being that active when the temperature drops below 50°F. Instead ,they get together in the lower central area of the hive (蜂巢)and form a ball around their queen. This helps keep both warm enough to survive the cold winter months.

1.The sky looks blue mainly because the color blue in the sunlight_______.

A. has the longest wavelength among all the colors

B. cannot be taken in by the gas molecules

C. doesn’t hit “raised area” in the atmosphere

D. cannot pass through space successfully

2.How long can’t the moon be seen during the daytime in a month?

A. 2                             B. 28                           C.30                                      D. 31

3.What do honeybees choose to do when the temperature drops below 50°F?

A. They choose to be active in the wild.

B. They choose to keep themselves warm.

C. They choose to travel to a warm place.

D. They choose to get together in the upper central area of the hive.

4.What is NOT explained in the passage?

A. Why is the sky blue?

B. Why is the moon able to be seen during the daytime?

C. Why do birds travel in winter?

D. Where do honeybees go in winter?
