教学目标:
词汇:musician / Brazilian/ remind of/clearly
句型:Carmen likes musicians who play different kinds of music.
I love singers who write their own music.
能力目标:The students can express his or her favorite group or people with the clause in English。
重点难点:"who"和 “that"引导的定语从句。
教学过程:
Step1: Revision
Let the students translate the following sentences:
(1)我喜欢能随之跳舞的音乐。
(2)我喜欢不是很吵的音乐。
(3)我更喜欢抒情的音乐。
(4)我喜欢能随之歌唱的音乐。
(When the students translate the sentences, the teacher can require them to use what they learned last class.)
Step2: listening
Before listen to the tape, asks one student to read the sentences and put them into Chinese. Then play the tape for the students to listen two times and tell them to finish 2a and 2b. Finally, play again. Let them check their answer or asks one or two students to say their answers. If necessary, the teacher can help them to correct some mistakes.
Step3: Practice
According to 2a and 2b, let the make up conversations with their partner like 2c. Next, asks several pairs to say their sentences in front of class. After that, tells them to translate some sentences into English.
(1) Mary喜欢能玩各种球的老师。
(2) John喜欢能歌善舞的花儿乐队。
(3)许非喜欢能自己写歌的音乐家。
(Doing this can help them to remember what they learned just now. When they do it, the teacher can walk around the classroom to help them)
Step4: presentation
Give the students several minutes, let them finish the task according to Jennifer's CD. Before doing it, asks one students to read the content, another student put the content into Chinese. After finishing the exercises, the teacher can ask one student to say his or her answer to the class. In the end, check the answer with the whole class.
Step5: Practice
First the teacher writes the following questions on the Bb.
What's the name of your favorite CD? / What CD did you listen to recently?
Why do you like this CD? / What do you think of it?
What do you dislike about this CD?
Then ask the students to read the dialogue and translate them into Chinese. Next, tell them to talk about a CD they listened to recently with their partners with the help of these three questions. (prepare for several minutes) Finally, act their dialogues in front of the class. (If we have enough time, ask more pairs to act.)
Step6: Homework
Complete part4, then do a survey and find classmates who agree with you.
