When you turn on the lights at New Farm,you are using electricity that comes from cows.

Cows produce a lot of waste. One cow can create about 135 liters(升)of waste in a single day. There are about 1,000 cows at New Farm. Imagine how much waste they produce every day!

Some of the cow waste is used as fertilizer (肥料)for the fields. But what about the rest? It used to be a problem. But now New Farm has a new way of using cow waste. They use it to produce electricity.

Here's how it works：A big machine moves around to collect the waste. "Hie cows aren't afraid of the machine，" says Mr. Smith，the owner of New  Farm.
