One morning  Suzan heard  a  "bang"  on one of  the windows.   She  (1)________(turn) round quickly and saw small feathers (2)________ (fall) down to the ground. She opened the window and saw a bright yellow bird on the path of the house.  Suzan called her brother.
"Peter. (3)________ (look) at the poor bird.  It (4) ________ (just fly) into the window.  I saw some feathers (5)        (come) off it. Do you think it\'s seriously injured?*\' Peter and Suzan watched the bird for several minutes.
"It might have injured a wing or its neck, " Peter said.  "What shall we do?"

Suzan returned to her homework and Peter went into the kitchen  (7)________(get) a drink. Later on, the children looked at the bird several times. It was in the same place each time.
"We can\'t leave it there. It must be thirsty or hungry. Shall I pick it up and put it in a box?** Suzan said.      
"If it\'s injured, " Peter said, "perhaps I ought to kill it to stop it from suffer¬ing."
"No! No! (8)________ (not do) that!"  Suzan said.  "It may recover later on. "
"But Mrs Wu\'s cat may come into the garden, " Peter said.
"All right, " Suzan said.  "I (9)________ (stay)  here and keep the cat away."    
Then suddenly the bird looked up at Suzan. It (10)_______ (move) and then flew up to a tree. Suzan and Peter were both very pleased.
