Gangnam Style is a song by the South Korean pop artist PSY. By the end of October 2012, the song reached the number one position online in 33 countries including Australia, Canada, France, Germany, and the United Kingdom. Although its recep­tion in Japan remained lukewarm, the song topped China' s Baidu 500 download list.

“Gangnam Style" has become a new Korean expression that refers to a lifestyle in the Gangnam district of Seoul, where peo­ple are trendy and modern.
