C For people who don’t fear death and love large angry hairy animals, the Pamplona Bull Run is the perfect festival for them. The running of the bulls is part of the San Fermin Festival, which begins on 6th, July and lasts until 14th, July every year in Pamplona, Spain. People run through streets with angry bulls running after them. A bit of advice, if you happen to fall while doing the run, curl into a ball and hope for the best. Every year on 21st, August in the El Salvadorian town of Nejapa, the festival Bolas de Fuego is held. Men on opposing teams throw burning clothes at each other. It is surely a dangerous act. However, it is a tradition that dates back as far as 1685 after a volcano erupted in this town. The Baby Jumping Festival takes place in June each year in Castrillo de Murcia, Spain. It is a truly crazy Spanish practice that dates all the way back to 1620. Grown men dressed as the devil jump over babies born in the last 12 months of the year. The main aim of the festival is to protect babies against illness and evil spirits. Now this is one for all cheese lovers. On the Spring Bank Holiday in May, the British gather on the top of Coopers Hill and from the top they roll down a 4-kg round of Double Gloucester cheese and then run after it. The first person over the finish line without injuries wins the cheese. The cheese can reach a speed of 112 km/h. Injuries are common. Luckily, doctors are waiting just beyond the finish line. The mud festival held every year at Boryeong in South Korea is a bit dirty as it sounds. However, for lovers of mud-wrestling, this is the festival that is not to be missed. There are many other odd festivals around the world. I’d like to introduce you some more next time. 44. Grown men dressed as the devil jump over babies in order to .
