A famous study was done in a school by a professor （教授） from a university. At the start of the school year, the teachers were given the names of five children. They were told that these five were the most excellent students in the class. But the fact was that these students were only average(中等)，and they were not the best students at all. Well, guess what? Bill was a boy of 15. His parents went to gambling(赌博) day and night. Nobody cared about hi. He always failed in his exams. So his teachers didn’t like him, nor did his classmates play with him.
Bill often slept in class because his heart was not in school. He almost gave himself up.

“Excuse me,” said a young man, standing shyly at the open church door. “I’m here to pick up an Easter basket for my daughter. Am I in the right place?” Well, we have baskets, but they’re not Easter baskets for kids; they’re food baskets,” I explained.
