　　On 26^th December, 2004, there was a big earthquake under the Indian Ocean Area．It was the most powerful earthquake in the world in the past 40 years．The earthquake caused a large tsunami．The wall of water was so high as 20 meters．The tsunami attacked twelve countries in southeast Asia and killed thousands of people．It was the biggest natural disaster in 2004．
