Brenda was a young woman who was invited to go rock climbing． 36  she was very scared，she went with her  37  to a cliff．She took hold of the rope and started   38   the face of that rock．She got to a place where she could take a breath．As she was  39  there，the safety  rope suddenly struck Brenda's eye and   40  out her contact lens(隐形镜片)．

When she got to the top，a friend  44  her eye and her clothing for the lens，but there was no contact lens to be found．She  45  across the mountains，thinking of that verse(诗句) that says,“The  46 of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth．” She thought，“Lord，you can see all these mountains．You know every  47  and leaf，and you know  48  where my contact lens is．Please help me．”

Finally，they  49  down the trail to the bottom．At the bottom there was a new party of climbers just starting up the face of the cliff．One of them shouted out，“Hey，you guys! Anybody  50  a contact lens?”

Well，that would be  51  enough，but you know  52  the climber saw it? An ant was moving  53   across the face of the rock，carrying it on it's back．

Brenda told her father about the story of the  54  ，the prayer，and the contact lens．He then drew a picture of an ant carrying that contact lens with the words，“Lord，I don't know why you want me to do this．I can't eat it，and it's awfully   55  ．But if this is what you want me to do，I'll carry it for you．”

A young and successful manager was traveling down neighborhood street, going a bit too fast in his new Jaguar. He was watching for kids rushing out from   36   parked cars and slowed down   37   he thought he saw something.

As his car passed, one child   38   and cast a brick into the Jaguar's side door. He   39    hard and turned the Jaguar back to the spot from   40   the brick had been thrown. A quick look told him   49   everything was going to be okay. “Thank you, sir. And   50  ,” the grateful child said to him. The man then   51   the little boy push his brother to the side walk toward their home. It was a long walk back to the Jaguar…a long, slow walk. The manager never did repair the   52  . He kept the dent (凹痕) to  53  him not to go through life so fast that someone has to throw a brick at you to  54  . When life whispers in your soul and speaks to your heart, sometimes you don’t have time to listen, life will   55   at your head.

Years ago, in a small fishing village in Holland, a young boy taught the world about the rewards of unselfish service.
Because the entire village lived on fishing, a volunteer rescue team was needed in case of emergency. One night, the winds   36  , the clouds burst and a strong storm overturned a fishing boat at sea. The crew in trouble   37  the SOS. The captain of the rescue rowboat team   38  the alarm and the villagers   39  in the town square overlooking the sea. When the team started their rowboat fought their way through the wild waves, the villagers waited   40  on the beach, holding lamps to   41  the way back.
An hour later, the rescue boat reappeared through the fog and the   42  villagers ran to greet them. Falling   43  on the sand, the volunteers reported that the rescue boat could not hold any more   44   and they had to leave one man behind. Even one more passenger would have surely   45 the rescue boat and all would have been lost.
   46  , the captain called for another volunteer team to   47  the survivor. Sixteen-year-old Hans stepped forward. His mother grabbed his arm, crying, "please don't go.
