　　　 In the early morning of September 7, 2006, Akif woke suddenly．"Where am I?" she thought, confused, only to realize she'd fallen asleep in the children's bedroom in their east-end Montreal apartment．There was a sharp and acrid (刺鼻的) smell in the room．Could that be smoke?
