    　　Jack starts going to a new school this year. At first he doesn't have many friends. Many people look at him because he is taller than anyone else. They call Jack “The Giant”. He's so tall that the school has to buy special desk and chair for him. When he walks down the street, students shout “Hey, Jack! How's the air up there?” Jack doesn't mind（介意）being tall, although sometimes he wishes he isn't so different from his classmates.

    　　One day, Jack decides to join the basketball team. The team needs tall players. It turns out that Jack is a really good basketball player. He helps his new school defeat（打败）all the other schools. His classmates come to watch him play. Soon everyone know him and he makes lots of new friends. Now Jack thinks it's great to be tall.
