When the owner asked if he could help him， Bobby the dime and asked if he could buy one flower for his mother as a Christmas gift． The shop owner looked at Bobby and his ten cent ， and said， “You just wait here and I’ll see what I can do for you．”
The shop owner returned holding 12 red roses． “That will be ten cents， young man，” he said．
Bobby’s heart beat fast． Slowly， he moved his hand to give the man his dime and for his home．
Then the shopkeeper’s wife appeared． “Where are the roses you were fixing?”
The shop owner replied， “While I was setting up things to open the shop， I thought I heard a voice telling me to set aside a dozen of my best roses for a special gift． When I saw that little boy tonight， I knew who that voice was．”

Hating someone hurts one’s own health since it causes anger within， and this anger can harm one’s health if it builds too high． Health is wealth， and forgiveness (原谅) is the way to go． Forgiving someone will help to make you feel better and solve the problems about relationships． The following steps may help you：
Recognize the way． Many a time， we don’t know why we hate someone and continue to walk on a road that troubles one’s mental and physical health and happiness． We should be able to recognize the way first that you treat him / her when we come across a certain human being． Once we are able to recognize the way， we can then move on to the next step．
Find the cause． We should try to search within ourselves about what and how that person has hurt us， and why we hate them． Finding a cause helps us to bring closure within ourselves， and we can open up to discussion within ourselves， and even with the person whom we hate．
Face that person． Coming face-to-face with the person whom one hates is a challenge， but facing him / her will lead to peace of mind and a sound sleep at night． Brave up and face that person．
Start a conversation． Once in the presence of the person who is hated， start a conversation and communicate about what bothers you． Being frank about what and how that person’s behavior makes oneself angry will help both discuss problems， and will finally lead to clarification．
Say sorry to him/ her． Apologizing to the disliked person can do wonders for one’s physical and mental being， bringing happiness and satisfaction． Keeping one’s egos (自负) aside and expressing regret are the keys to forgiveness．
Once you forgive a person， be patient and kind to yourself． Express your pain and worries， and do not keep it bottled up． Thanks for the goodness of people around you， and imagine a new life with energy each day． This will help to shape each day free of pain．

Almost everyone has dropped some food on the floor and still wanted to eat it. If someone saw you drop it, he or she might have shouted, “ 5-second rule!” This so–called rule says food is OK to eat if you pick it up in five seconds or less. But is that true?
Professor Anthony Hilton from Ashton University, UK, tested the rule with his students. They found that food dropped for five seconds is less likely to contain bacteria(细菌) than if it sits there for longer.
For the study, Hilton and his students tested a lot of foods——bread, pasta, cookies and candy—to see how much bacteria they had when they made contact with the floor. They allowed the food to lie on the different types of flooring—carpet(地毯), laminate (复合地板) and tile(瓷砖) — for three seconds to 30 seconds.
Not surprisingly, the longer the food was on the floor, the more bacteria it had. And the type of floor where the dropped food landed had an effect. Bacteria are least likely to transfer(转移) from carpet, while they are most likely to transfer laminate or tiled surface after more than five seconds.
The study also found that the wetter the food, the more likely it was to pick up bacteria. Although most people are happy to follow the 5-second rule, eating food dropped on the floor still carries an infection(感染) risk. “It very much depends on which bacteria are on the floor at the time.” Hilton told Forbes.
