    20．When he was just 7 years old，Justus，was living at a garbage dump（垃圾场） in Rwanda（卢旺达）．He would compete with other children，even many pigs，for food．Sundays were the worst because the trucks that carried restaurants'left-over food didn't come，so there would often be nothing to eat．He lived with other children in an old bus without windows and wheels．He had no family．His parents were killed in a war．
    A few years later，Clare Effiong，an American charity（慈善机构） worker，showed up at the dump．She said she could offer several children a chance to leave with her．
    Justus accepted this offer．He hadn't had a bath in over a year．It was a Sunday，so he hadn't eaten．And most of all，when Ms Effiong asked why he wanted to get out there，he said，"I want to go to school．"
    Ms Effiong took him in，got him to clean up，and sent him to school．He was so hungry to learn and he worked very hard，and later he was at the top of his class．He now speaks five languages．And he has started to help other children who are in the same situation he was in．He started college last autumn on a full scholarship（奖学金）…at Harvard University!
    It is a wonderful story．More importantly，it is a reminder that so many more children should have this chance．And that we can all play a role in helping make that happen．
