The Potala Palace in Lhasa was built in the seventh century. However, the construction of today’s buildings began in 1645. It took three years to complete(完成). The Potala Palace is thirteen stories(楼层) high and has more than 1,000 rooms. To help preserve the buildings, only a few people are admitted each day.
