Today I was so happy to know that I did quite well in my last week’s science exam. Thanks to Daniel, he taught me a new way of going over lessons. It is called “map idea”.
Because of the map idea, I’ve learned how to find out the main idea in every lesson. And in my mind I can draw a map of all the important knowledge I need to remember. It’s really goo D. I can remember so much in that way.
I never thought of changing the way of my study before. I used to complain about my poor memory, but now my memory has become good because of the map idea. It made my study much easier and more enjoyable. I realized learning how to learn well is the most important for us students.

Once there was an island where all the feelings lived: Happiness, Sadness, Knowledge, and all of the others, including Love. One day it was said that the island would go down, so all made boats and left except Love.
Love was the only one who stayed. Love wanted to offer her help until the last possible moment. When the island had almost gone down, Love decided to ask for help.

Suddenly, there was a voice, “Come, Love, I will take you.” It was an elder. Love was so excited that she even forgot to ask who the elder was. So Love asked Knowledge, another elder, “Who helped me?” “It was Time,” Knowledge answered. “Time?” asked Love. “But why did Time help me?”
Knowledge smiled with deep wisdom and answered, “Because only Time understands how valuable Love is.”

“I want my parents to believe me,” Lu said.
“ It’s the age when teenagers are becoming more independent (独立的). And teenagers don’t now how to talk with their parents. But their parents are very concerned about their kids’ futures, ” said Sun Yunxiao, a researcher at the China Youth and Children Research Center. Sun suggests that teenagers should 6.to communicate with their parents effectively (有效地).
“Find the right time for a talk. 7.Mother’s Day or Father’s Day, say ‘Thank you’ to your parents or give them a small gift with a letter so they can get inside your head a little,” he advised.
Sun also believes that teenagers have to work to get trust and respect from their parents.
“You need to make sure they know that you’re not going to fail your exams or let 8.down. Let them know that you want to do well, and that you will do well,” he said.
