Bus Rapid Transit(BRT,快速公交) is coming to Quanzhou City soon. It means giving buses their own ways on the roads. Cars and trucks can’t take these ways. Passengers can buy the tickets at the bus stop before they get on the bus, so they save time getting on. The buses are longer than the common ones, and have lower floors. Real-time information systems let passengers know clearly when the next bus will arrive. If a bus is running late, traffic lights turn green for it .

BRT will become an importan part of this city, and is a good way to deal with Quanzhou’s traffic problems. It will move more passengers and cause fewer traffic jams.

No public-transit system is cheaper and easier to control than BRT. The government says this is an importan project for the future of the city.
