Mr Read was a businessman. He hurried down to the hall of a big hotel. He was going back to his company in New York soon. It was 4:40 p.m. And the plane was leaving in half an hour’s time. Mr Smith usually left his car outside his house. One night he put it there as usual again, but when he came down the next morning to go to his office, he found that the car wasn’t there. He called the police and told them about it. They said they would try to find the car.

When Mr Smith came home from his office that evening, the car was back again in its usual place in front of his house. He was very happy and found two concert tickets and a letter on one of the seats. The letter said, “We are very sorry. We took your car because of something important. Thank you for your car.”
