Many people of the early times believed that by eating an animal they could get some of the good qualities of that animal for themselves. They thought, ,that eating deer would make them run like a deer. Some people believed eating enemies who had bravery in the battle would make them brave. The practice of eating human flesh might have started because people were to become as strong and brave as their enemies.
