American Teenagers
Teenagers who are between the ages of 13 and 19 are no longer childten, or they are not yet adults. They express themselves through their own music, clothes and language. There are more than 36 million teenagers in America.
Teenagers have the emotions of a child in the body of an adult. They want to be free and independent. Yet they also want to be taken care of. Many teenagers disagree with their parents how much freedom they should have. Some disobey their parents. They say their parents do not understand them.
Today American teenagers spend a lot of money buying records, clothes and electronic devices. They also spend a lot on entertainment. Where do the American teenagers get all this money? Many of them have part-time jobs. Some work as baby-sitters. Others work at fast food places. They make about 4 dollars an hour. Many teenagers do not have jobs. Instead, they receive 20 dollars a week from their parents.
American students usually begin high school at the age of 13 or 14. Some leave at the age of 16, but most complete the 4-year high school program. They do not get their first full-time jobs or begin university studies until they are 17 or 18 years o1d. The high school day is about 7 hours long. The day is divided into classes of about 50 minutes. The students have a meal in the middle of the day.
American teenagers study English, history, math, science, art and foreign languages. Some also learn job skills. They might learn how to use a computer or how to fix a car. Other students might learn by working in an office, a hospital or other places one day a week.

It was created by Howard Garnes in 1979. The puzzle was first introduced into Japan by Nikoli Puzzle Company in 1984. In 1986, Kaji Maki, the president of Nikoli made the rules strict and clear. Soon in the same year Sudoku became popular in Japan. In November 2004, The Times, a British newspaper, first printed it in the newspaper. It became an international hit in 2005. Now Sudoku becomes very popular all over the world.
