One day, my friend and I entered a little coffee house and ordered two cups of coffee. While we were waiting, two young men came in and began to order, "Five cups of coffee, please. The tradition with the suspended coffees started in Italy, but it has spread all over the world. Do you like listening to music? Do you often turn up the music when you’re using earphones? If so, your hearing may have been damaged(损坏).

The World Health Organization (WHO) is worried that 1.1 billion children and young people are damaging their hearing by listening to loud music. Nearly half the young people in developed countries may lose their hearing because of the "unsafe use" of music players, including smartphones. He said: "Loud sounds damage your hearing by killing off thousands of little hair cells(细胞) in the inner ear. The cells can tell different sounds through vibration(振动). But they are very fragile — they get damaged easily and even die if they vibrate too much because of loud sounds for too long.” He warned: "The bigger problem is they don't grow back and the ear can no longer get sound."

Is the Mobile Phone a Must-have for Teenagers?

Next time you're in a public place, take a look around you, and count how many people are using their mobile phones. I can tell you now that it is probably more than half, whether you're on public transport, in a café or simply walking down the street. With the development of technology, we can now do almost anything on the mobile phones. How does the use of mobile phones affect(影响) the young? Do they really need mobile phones or not? Everyone can change the world

What can we do to help protect the environment? It seems useless to just pick up a piece of trash (垃圾), but what will happen if you keep doing it every day? Tommy Kleyn, an ordinary man from the Netherlands, may give you the answer.

Tommy Kleyn walked past a polluted river on his way to work every day. It used to be a beautiful view, but the trash on the bank made it dirty and smelly. So Tommy decided to pick up the trash along the river a little bit at a time after work. “It took me about 30 minutes to fill one garbage(垃圾) bag with trash, but one garbage bag didn't seem helpful in a place as polluted as this. I decided to fill one bag of trash each day as I passed by," Tommy said. He felt happy and kept doing it. Gradually, more and more people knew about Tommy's story.
