    我把匕首藏在怀里。我觉得这样对我不是多安全，到时候动起手来对方要是一推我，匕首就可能刺进我的心脏，我不能这么藏。

    我把匕首掖进腰间。这样做我觉得不是太舒服，一个硬邦邦的家伙顶着腰，还没有动手就有一种被别人拿下的感觉。我把双手往上举了举，知道是自己没把匕首掖对地方，就急忙把匕首从腰间拔出来。

    我必须把匕首藏在一个又安全又能在关键时刻派上用场的地方。我往前回忆自己看过的武打功夫片，突然就想到了美国大片《第一滴血》里史泰龙扮演的那个硬汉的匕首是藏在马靴里的。我觉得藏在马靴里比较科学。

    我到商场里花五十块钱买了一双过了时的马靴穿上。我把匕首藏在马靴里，把风衣的领子立起来，迈步出了门。

    街上人来人往川流不息没人注意我，这让我心里很安慰，我既然是个凶手，如果没有人注意我就会安全很多。我想在人群中寻找我要攻击的目标，我知道这是徒劳的。现在是上班时间，马经理一定在他的办公室，再说马经理出入有车，我这么寻找肯定发现不了他。

    经过福大爷的修鞋摊，我想远远地绕过去，还是被福大爷喊住了。福大爷从头到脚打量了我一番，那眼神像是在看马戏团里敲锣的猴子。福大爷说小子，打扮得跟绑匪似的在街上瞎溜达什么。

    福大爷这么一说把我吓得一怔。我说福大爷你胡说什么，我没事这不遛大街玩吗。

    福大爷说你不是在什么大酒店当保安吗，怎么突然就成了大街上的便衣警察了？我说福大爷你不知道，酒店欠我一年的工资不给我，老子不给他干了。

    福大爷摇摇头，说把你的马靴脱下来。我一惊，说福大爷，我可什么也没有做呀。福大爷说，这么好的马靴打上掌可以多穿几年，快脱下我给它们钉上掌。

    我说谢您了福大爷，我知道您和我爸是老哥们儿，您不会跟我要钱，可我现在有急事。说完赶紧跑了。

    我想真是危险，要是让福大爷发现了我的秘密，那我什么也干不成了。看来，把匕首藏在马靴里也不是万全之策。

    我拐进了一家医院，我说医生麻烦你给我打上绷带。那个头发脱落殆尽的男医生奇怪地打量着我，眼睛里充满疑惑。我说我给你钱！医生摸了一下我的脑门子，说给钱也不行，这是我们的医德。他随手写了一行字递给我，说你最好到这里去看一看。我认得那行字，是一家治疗精神病的医院。

    我花了八十块钱到一家按摩院好说歹说让人把我的胳膊脱了臼。花了三十块钱买了一个准备出院的骨折病人的X光片子。我拿着片子拖着胳膊又花了一百二十块钱到一家私人诊所上了夹板打了绷带。这一番折腾让我浑身直冒冷汗。这更增加了我的仇恨，马经理，今天我要给你点颜色看看！今天不把拖欠我的工资给我，我就……

    我用白布包了匕首，把它放进夹板里，正正好好，不露痕迹，天衣无缝。我觉得自己这么聪明没考上大学，真是白搭了。进了酒店大厅，富丽堂皇的水晶吊灯炫得我几乎睁不开眼。我用另一只手扶了扶挂在胸前的绷带，生怕匕首会反射出光来。服务员点头向我问好。我仰着头说我找你们马经理。服务员到吧台拨了个电话微笑着对我说，马经理不在。

    我对走在身边的四个保安说，哥们儿，去年我也和你们一样在这里当保安。他们表情漠然没一个人说话。我想他们怎么和我那时一个德性！

    我终于见到马经理了。马经理从老板椅上站起来，有力地握住了我吊着绷带的那只手。我一阵撕心裂肺的疼痛。我知道机会来了，只要我把藏在夹板里的匕首突然掏出来，就可以轻松地刺进马经理肥胖的身体。我瞥了一下周围的保安，他们似乎对我没有任何警惕。

Now, Shay was scheduled to be next at bat. Would they let Shay bat and give away their chance to win the game?

    Surprisingly, Shay was given the bat. Everyone knew that a hit was almost impossible. The first pitch (投) came and Shay missed. The pitcher again and again took a few steps forward to throw the ball softly towards Shay. As the pitch came in, Shay swung at the ball and hit a slow ground ball right back to the pitcher.

    The pitcher could have easily thrown the ball to the first baseman and Shay would have been out and that would have been the end of the game .Instead, the pitcher threw the ball right over the head of the first baseman, beyond the reach of all teammates, The audience and the players from both teams started screaming, “Shay, run to first!” Never in his life had Shay ever run that far but made it to first base, wide-eyed and shocked..

    Everyone should, “Run to second!” Catching his breath, Shay awkwardly ran towards second. By the time Shay rounded towards second base, the smallest guy on their team, who had a chance to be the hero for his team for the first time, could have thrown the ball to the second baseman, but he understood the pitcher's intentions and he too intentionally threw the ball high and far over the third baseman's head.

    All were screaming，“Shay，Shay，Shay，all the way Shay.” Shay reached third base when one opposing player ran to help him and shouted, “Shay, run to third.” As Shay rounded third, all were on their feet, crying, “Shay, run home！”Shay ran to home, stepped on the home base and was cheered as the hero who the who won the game for his team.

Dr. Garfinkel said, “The study showed that fearful faces are better noticed when the heart is pumping than when it is relaxed. Thus our hearts can also affect what we see and what we don’t see---and guide whether we see fear.”

    To further understand this relationship, the scientists also used a brain scanner（扫描仪）to show how the brain influences the way the heart changes a person’s feeling of fear.
