Birthdays often bring surprises. But this year’s surprise on the birthday of the great British playwright William Shakespeare is __21__ one of the most surprising.

Competition for admission to the country’s top private schools has always been tough. This is spreading from Manhattan to the rest of the country. The tradition of birthday parties started a long time ago.
