答案:B;A;B;D;C;A;B;C;B;D;A;C;A;B;C;C;A;D;B;C
解析:

第1题,在美国一般不用old people指老人,而是要说:senior people,下文多次出现提示词senior citizens,因此选B。

The population of china is larger than that (the population) of Japan.(中国的人口比日本的人口多。)

be able to do sth.

    第13题,when引导时间状语从句说明be able to(do)的时间。

raise/support families意为“养家糊口”。

the number of+名词复数:…… A number of people were injured in the accident.(在这场事故中有很多人受伤。)The number of the students in oar school is increasing each year.

    第17题,because of意为“因为”与because的用法不同。

may/might/must/can都是情态动词,用来表示推测。

第20题,look forward to (doing) sth. to是介词。如:He has been abroad for five years. He is looking forward to seeing his mother(他在国外呆了五年,他盼望着见到他妈妈。)
