    2．Bookable study rooms
    The Library provides a variety of bookable group study rooms，some with presentation
    areas，for groups of between 6and 12students to use for team work．
    Group study rooms
    There are 10Group Study Rooms on Level 30f Northampton Square Library．
    •Rooms 3A，3F，3G，3H，3J and 3K are equipped with presentation area to help prepare group presentations．
    •Rooms 3B，3C，3D and 3E are intended for group discussion and seminar work．These rooms are equipped with whiteboards．Whiteboard pens can be borrowed from the service desk on Level 2．Please do not use any other writing tools on the whiteboards．
    Maximum booking period of 2hours at one time．
    Presentation areas provide：
    •LED screen to practice presentation with group colleagues
    •Network access on PC with wide range of software
    USB port to plug in（插入）your own device or laptop
    Assistive（为残疾人设计的）Technology Rooms
    Assistive technology rooms are available for students by using ID cards to get access permission and can be booked for a maximum of 4hours per person per day．
    Rooms are equipped with the following software：Dragon，JAWS，Zoom Text，Kurzweil，Supernova，TextHelp and Inspiration．A scanner is provided for use with the assistive software packages．For further information click Guide to Library Services for Additional Needs．

    Sadia Vanjara is a physical therapist．She says the number of young children with chronic pain in their necks，arms and shoulders is on the rise．Dr．Vanjara says the pain is not from aging，accidents or disease．It is from poor posture，or body position，while playing video games．
    This is a problem in many parts of the world．But there are more smart phone users in India than anywhere else in the world，except China．Networking equipment company Cisco estimates that the number of smart phone users in India will increase from 140million today to 651million by 2020．
    19-year-old student Nida Jameel says she feels pain in the finger which holds the weight of her smart phone
    most of the day．She says she uses her smart phone 24/7．This means 24 hours a day，seven days a week，or all
    the time．
    Correct posture can help prevent the pain．Dr．Vanjara teaches the patients to hold their gadgets （小装置） correctly．He tells them to put the gadget in front of the face．He says bending the head down to look at the device strains（损伤）the neck and creates an unhealthy bend to the back．He also says daily exercises can help．
    Experts advise taking breaks from using a computer or other device often．Stand up．Stretch your legs，back，shoulders and arms in all the possible directions that you can．And when your work or school work is done，unplug and exercise．

        Many climbers have tried to climb to the peak of Mount Everest．The first people to reach the peak were Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay．Since then，about 900 people have survived the climb to Mount Everest's summit．
        One of the most successful climbers is Erik Weihenmayer．Like all who try to climb this huge mountain，Erik faced strong winds，snow，and avalanches（雪崩）．However，what really made Erik's climb unbelievable is the fact that he is blind．After losing his sight at age 13，Erik began climbing at age 16．He has climbed the tallest mountains on five continents．Erik became the first blind person to reach the peak of Mount Everest．
        At the age of 32，Erik began his climb as part of a 19-member team．His team wore bells that he could follow using his climb．By using them，fellow climbers could quickly warn him of such things as a big drop on the right or a big stone to the left．
