4.Some people don't drink coffee.Are you fond of drinking coffee?Here is something you can use as an argument every time someone warns you against drinking your third cup of coffee for the day:Coffee may actually add some years to your life.
A paper published recently in the New England Journal of Medicine details a study that began in 1995.A total of 402,260people tested (none of whom had heart disease or cancer) between the ages 50and 71were asked about their coffee drinking habits.Only 42,000of all the test subjects were non-coffee drinkers,while most of them admitted to drinking two or three cups a day.
By the year 2008,52,000of the people tested had already died.Based on the data gathered by the researchers,men who drank two or three cups of coffee daily were 10% less likely to die,while it went up to 13% for women.
Researchers haven't been able to tell what it is in coffee that benefits your health----it could be any one of coffee's many components.It's clear that more research is needed to establish the connection between drinking coffee and having a longer life,but Dr.Frank Hu of Harvard School of Public Health believes it's"the best evidence we have".
Before you get up from your seat to get another cup of coffee---don't forget to check the tips on making great coffee---Dr.Hu has two pieces of advice for you.First,avoid cream and sugar and anything that could affect the health nature of coffee.Second,filter(过滤)your coffee beans instead of boiling them,because filtering removes the components that can raise your cholesterol (胆固醇) level.

33.What does the author mainly want to tell us by writing this passage?B

1.Many adults take too much time to attempt to stop children playing.They are usually the people who think of playing as being the(41)B of working and therefore a waste of time and energy.For humans,work is a way of getting food to eat,and like humans,(42)A must spend time doing the(43)A things.Regardless of this,children really(44)C playing,and so do other young animals.So it is quite(45)A to keep both a small child and a young cat(46)D for hours with a piece of paper.
Hunting may be the most obvious skill(47)D in play,but it is far from being the only one.Lambs and goat kids play(48)A although they will never(49)A anything other than some grass.But for these young animals too,(50)C is an important part of learning.Sheep and goats are (51)C hill and mountain animals.Running and skipping exercise young legs and develop a strong sense of(52)D that will keep them safe on the steepest rocks.

20.Thousands of taxi drivers in Shenyang,Liaoning province,reportedly blocked streets with their vehicles on Sunday in protest against unlicensed vehicles using taxi-hiring apps (打车软件) and apps-based car rental companies providing passenger services,including high-end cars.Although the drivers also complained about the withdrawal of the fuel subsidy by the government,their main complaint was the loss of business because of the rising number of Internet-based car services companies.
On Wednesday, news reports came that Beijing transport authorities will take measures to stop the illegal"taxi business"of private cars through the newly rising Internet apps, following the footsteps of Shenyang and Nanjing.
It is not yet clear how the Shenyang city government will handle the issue and whether it will declare the services offered by market leaders such as Didi Dache,a taxi-hiring app provider backed by Tencent Holdings,and Kuaidi Dache illegal.But Shanghai transport regulators have set a rule,by banning Didi Zhuanche,or car services offered by Didi Dache in December.
Such regulations will cause a setback to the car-hiring companies and investors that are waiting to cash in on the potentially booming business.Just last month,Didi Dache got 700 millionin funding fromglo balin vestors, including Sing a porestate investment company Temasek Holdings,Russianin vestment company DSTG lobaland Tencent.Besides, the marketis uncer tainthat Kuaidi Dacheis about to finalizeits late stround of funding after getting 800 million from global investors.
Regulatory uncertainties,however,could cast a shadow on the future of the Internet-based car-hiring services,which have become popular in most of China's big cities.To be fair,these companies'business model is anything but bad.For example,Didi Zhuanche works side by side with established car rental companies to provide high-end car service mainly for businesspeople through the Internet and mobile phone apps.
Every link in this business model chain has legal companies and services.Hence,it is hard to define it as illegal and ban it.
28.Why did taxi drivers in Shenyang block the streets with their vehicles?C
A.Because they wanted the authority to increase their driving allowances.
B.Because they wanted to be taught how to use the taxi-hiring apps.
C.Because they wanted to make their main complaints known to the authority.
D.Because they wanted to appeal to passengers not to hire the private cars.
29.The author's attitude to banning internet car-hiring service isB.
A.positive        B.negative      C.neutral         D.unclear
30.Which of the following statements is false according to the passage?A
A.The problem referred to in the passage exists in all cities
B.App-based car rental is functional to some degree
C.The government should regulate the app-based car rental market
D.Didi Dache is a China-foreign joint company
31.we can learn from the passage thatC.
A.Shenyang forbade apps-based car rental companies
B.Shanghai is the second city banning Didi Zhuanche
C.some international investment companies have strong faith in the future of apps-based car rental companies
D.it is not difficult to picture the apps-based car rental companies illegal.

16.Poet William Stafford once said that we are defined more by the detours in life that by the narrow road toward goals.I like this image. But quite by accident that I discovered the deep meaning of his words.
For years we made the long drive from our home in Seattle to my parents'home in Boise in nine hours. We traveled the way most people do:the fastest, shortest easiest road, especially when I was alone with four noisy, restless kids who hates confinement and have strong opinions about everything.
Road trips felt risky,so I would drive fast, stopping only when I had to.We would stick to the freeways and arrive tired.
But then Banner, our lamb was born.He was rejected by his mama days before our planned trip to Boise.I had two choices:leave Banner with my husband,or take him with me.My husband made the decision for me.
That is how I found my self on the road with four kids,a baby lamb and nothing but my everlasting optimism to see me through. We took the country roads out of necessity. We had to stop every hour, let Banner shke out his legs and feed him.The kids chased him and one another. They'd get back in the car breathless and energized, smelling fresh from the cold air.
We explored side roads, catching grasshoppers in waist-high grass.Even if we simply looked out of the car windows at baby pigs following their mother,or fish leaping out of the water,it was better than the best ride down the freeway. Here was life. And new horizons.
We eventually arrived at my parents'doorstep astonishingly fresh and full of stories
I grew brave with the trip back home and creative with my disciplining technique. On an empty section of road, everyone started quarreling.I stopped the car, ordered all kids out and told them to meet me up ahead.I parked my car half a mile away and read my book in sweet silence.
Some road trips are by necessity fast and straight. But that trip with Banner op ened our eyes to a world available to anyone adventurous enough to wander around and made me realize that a detour may uncover the best part of a journey----and the best part of yourself.
