完形填空
When I moved into an empty dorm for the first time two years ago, I was certain of a few things.First, I realized that I didn’t 1 anybody at the school.
Secondly, I knew that I wanted to work hard in my classes and 2 something useful.
And thirdly, I wanted to have a good time with new classmates, 3 my parents around.
The first 4 frightened me in the beginning.But, that fear quickly disappeared.It was the other two goals 5 ended up being my most difficult challenges, I know that it’s hard to devote enough time to class and to social efforts.But, I wanted to succeed in both.I knew this would be a 6 but didn’t realize how much 7 classes began.
I got on well with the other girls who lived in my dorm. 8 , instead of finishing my homework before it was due, I went upstairs and had ice cream with my neighbor, I always finished it the next day between classes.But I knew it wasn’t very good and the grade I 9 showed my lack of effort.
I was 10 that I needed to find some sort of balance.
So, the next day I created a schedule that would divide my 11 up between going to class, doing homework, and relaxing.It seemed like a good idea, but I was only able to 12 it for a few days.A schedule like that was too much pressure.
So I tried another 13 .This one involved 14 and common sense.Each week I made a list of everything I had to get done during that week and by which day.Then, under the list of things I had to get done, I made a list of things I could do 15 I had the time.
This is the 16 I have used since then.Now, I have entered into my senior year and I always feel 17 is limited. 18 my time has become more challenging, but I continue to do it.
My cousins, who are now in college, tell me that there are a lot of books to read by yourself and many different things to do, with various people and organizations.So I’m glad that I’ve learned to 19 things and it has 20 me prepare for what is to come after graduation.
