We talked over lunch about his interests and the use of Chinese chopsticks. Knowing that he is cravy about playing basketball. I suggested he play with my classmates. As we know, a lot of off-farm workers come to cities to earn their living. They try their best to serve the city, but they can’t afford the expensive schooling for their children.

I hope there will be enough schools for the off-farm workers’ children; this way we can enjoy a better life together.

It is the old man’s birthday today. Now he is sitting on a sofa alone. Maybe his wife has been dead. On the right side is a big birthday cake sent by his son. And there are also some presents given by his daughter on the left. Yet the old man doesn’t feel happy. Instead, he looks very sad because he is lonely.

Our life is getting better and better than before. Some people think that old people will be satisfied as long as they have enough to eat and drink. I think they are quite wrong. Old people easily get lonely because they have no work to do. So we should spend time together with them and take care of them in every possible way.

      Recently a survey has been done to find out how middle school students spend their pocket money．

In this survey, both junior students and senior students spend most their money on books, sacks and playing games, still some money goes to clothes, banks, sports, and so on. The survey shows that about 44％ of seniors prefer books to sacks （37%）and playing games （31%）.On the other hand, only 32％ of juniors will spend their pocket money buying books, while over a half buy sacks and  44％ spend on playing games. Both seniors and juniors would not waste too much money in clothes or put it in banks.

I think too much sacks will not only makes us put on weight but also does herm to our health. In addition. if we play games without limit, we'll lose much precious time, which results in low grades. Furthermore, the money is hard-earned. I hope we students value our money as well as our time.

From the graph we can see that there were two peaks in car accidents in 2001. One was in March with the number of accidents 35. The other was in August with the number of car accidents 45, which was the highest point on the distribution line. From August, the number of car accidents decreased till it reached the lowest point of the year in December. The two seasons which had most of the year’s rain is the most important reason for car accidents. Be careful, when you drive a car on rainy days.

Nowdays a lot of schools keep their students in school all day long.Students have different opinions about it. Some of the students think they enjoy less freedom and have little chance to get in touch with society.They are not able to fully develop their interests and hobbies. Some others think school is the best place to get knowledge so they should put their heart into their lessons. Some students lack the ability to control themselves.Once out of school, they may lose control of themselves and do something that will influence/affect their studies.

We high school students do have some growing pains, but we can rid of them correctly and wisely. First, some of us are upset about their body styles and looks. Forty teenage reporters from different middle schools in our city paid a visit to the Economic Development Zone and had an interview with Wang Qinghai, head of the Zone, on January 15 th, 2007.

At the interview, the reporters asked Mr Wang about what achievements they made last year, how they were to attract more investment and how the zone would be developing over the next three years. Mr Wang gave them satisfactory answers.
