    张衡建议当时的统治者减轻农民的负担，改进农业设施，导致了农业的发展，改善了人民的生活。

    张衡发明了世界最早预测地震的地动仪，并准确预测了甘肃境内的地震，为世界地震预测和研究作出了贡献。
