A week ago, I had the great pleasure of reading an e-book, When Money Talks, Listen! By Rich Ezzo．It took only about an hour to read.

   When I first received a copy, I thought it was a Get Rich Quick type of publication．Nothing is wrong with Get Rich Quick, but my mind just doesn’t chase after dreams of wealth．I think that if God ever wants me to be rich, he knows where to find my purse.

   When I began reading When Money Talks, Listen!, I was overjoyed to find that Rich Ezzo isn’t money hungry either．He, too, is hungry far more important than money．

Since I love this e-book so much, why wait a week to write the review? Simple．I wanted to see if the effect it had on me was a keeper．After reading the last word of the e-book, I totally agreed with the subtitle which promised to forever change the way we thought about money．I had so many thoughts running around my mind that I had to install(安装) a stoplight to stop some while others made their way into the picture, then I yielded(让路) them as a few ones arrived in town．I had a mental traffic jam, which only goes to show how slow the traffic usually is．

   It has been a week and the effect is the same．I truly do look at money differently and have even done a few things differently this week．This is an e-book you’ll want to read, I promise．I often recommend books to my daughter, and this is one that I didn’t just “suggest”---I left it open at the bottom of the computer and told each one, “Read it, you’ll love it.”

   I would never point someone in a direction I wouldn’t go myself．I urge you to visit the author’s website, Myster Money, and to download the e-book．You won’t regret it.

THE FOLLOW—UP --- It is quite common to apply for job and never hear back from the company. Take measures, such as following up with a phone call a week or so after you apply. If you know someone at the company, check whether that person will put in a good word for you.

INTERVIEWS --- If you’ve got plenty of interviews but no return calls or job offers, take a look at your interviewing skills. This is one area where investing in a career coach may pay off. But if you can’t afford one, try to find a job group or service that conducts free mock(模拟) interviews.

SUPPORT SYSTEMS --- Finally, recognize that looking for job is rather difficult. Even at the best of times, a job hunt is often about rejection, and that can be hard to endure. Staying in touch with family, friends, professional networks and fellow job seekers can help you to maintain a positive attitude and a sense of perspective.

Most of us can remember the days when we didn’t use e-mail as an everyday means for communication. Slowly but surely, it entered our lives. E-mail is a valuable tool for college students at any level. It’s available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and even at holidays. Most universities assign students an account(户头) upon entrance.

You can do everything from getting information or advice on homework and projects, keeping in touch with classmates, exchanging letters with family and friends, and getting daily news services to keep you posted on world events. But, what are the disadvantages?

E-mail can be e-jail (prison). You might spend hours writing and replying to e-mails when you should be hitting the books for an upcoming exam. Or, you might be signed up for so many daily services, such as horoscopes(星座), news services, or personals, that your mailbox is so filled up with “junk mail”, that finding the important e-mails through your mail-box might take hours.

If you’re a student, time is limited and valuable. Create and organize your e-mail folders into important school-related mail, correspondence (通信联系) with friends and family, and a mixed folder for jokes, horoscopes, and other news services. Always put the mail into the right and proper folders first, and when you’ve finished, head for the important school-related folder first. Reply to the most important e-mails first and, if you have time, you can get to the others.

Try to stop your friends from sending those troublesome joke lists, sex quizzes, and chain e-mails. The minute you realize you’ve got one, delete it immediately so you won’t be attracted to read it.
