Argentina in the late nineteenth century was an exciting place. Around 1870, it was experiencing an economic(经济的)boom, and the capital, Buenos Aires, attracted many people. One afternoon, many years ago, I went to pick up my mother from work. I got there a little early so I   21  the car by the roadside and waited for her.
