Serbian tennis player Ana Ivanovic, 20, has made a perfect season this year. She 36 the final and has become the fourth one at Wimbledon.

Ana became 37 in tennis when she was five after watching it on television. She 38 her parents to take her to a local tennis school. She was then 39 a racket£¨ÇòÅÄ£©for her fifth birthday and immediately fell in love with the 40 .

But Serbia is a nation with very little tennis tradition. Young Ana experienced a hard time: she had to 41 in a swimming pool. The club where she trained could not 42 to heat its swimming pool in the winter. Club officials decided to let water out, make the 43 dry and lay down carpet, and that¡¯s where Ana got her first 44 of indoor tennis.

Ana was lucky. The key moment in her life was when she 45 a Swiss businessman ¡ª Holzmann. He was told about Ana¡¯s 46 . Surprisingly, it took him just two hours to 47 to be her manager after seeing her game. Within two years, Ana had paid him back£¬ 48 in a series of matches.

Moreover, Holzmann wisely ended Ana¡¯s early 49 with Nike, where Maria Sharapova, the world popular Russian tennis player, is the first. Ana now has a 50 to become the Sharapova of Adidas.

Ana is a 51 girl with a pleasing smile, 52 saying anything that could hurt someone. But don¡¯t be fooled by her innocent manner. Her 53 is to become number one. In fact, she is doing so well at the moment.

On the other hand, 54 travels prevent her seeing her family much. ¡°That¡¯s what I miss the most, but I know that¡¯s the price I must pay to 55 my dream of becoming number one.¡±

It was a cold winter¡¯s night when I stopped for gas on my way home from work. I was tired and had a slight ¡¡36 .

I worked in a ¡¡37 doctor¡¯s office and this was one of those days when the unexpected happened, making the schedule run ¡¡38 than usual. I was heading inside to ¡¡42 for my gas when I noticed an older couple at the counter. I heard them asking for ¡¡43 to the local hospital. It was the same hospital that I had just ¡¡44 a few minutes ago.

A

I recently spent two years in the Arctic filming the series Blue Planet. I love being in an environment that hasn't changed for 20,000 years. Of course it's freezing, but it must be a healthy place because you never catch colds.

When I'm filming, I like to really feel how lonely the environment is. Filming underwater involves cutting through thick ice and diving in tied to a line. The person at the other end has to be ready to pull you out fast if necessary.

Originally I was a research diver for the British Antarctic Survey project, but for me science lacked excitement. I'd always enjoyed photography, and whenever camera teams passed through, they encouraged me to watch and learn. I was then able to move into filming in 1985 and have concentrated on Arctic and Antarctic wildlife ever since.

I prefer to be faced with the animals I'm filming. I haven't got in the water with killer whales yet, but I plan to. Of course, it's dangerous if you choose the wrong moment. They're big animals and can move fast, so I'd be stupid to film them searching for food!

I've never had problems with polar bears, although once I was frightened when one tried to get into my tent. Polar bears are bold, clever and dangerous. But I made this one see I wasn't about to attack it - I'm sure it realised I wouldn't hurt it.

When I come home back from my trips, I work in the mornings and spend the afternoons swimming to keep fit. Now I'm fifty, filming is harder. The challenge for me is to continue to deliver high-quality work.

58. When talking about killer whales, the writer says that __________.

A. he has always been careful when diving with them

B. he tries to avoid any danger by facing them

C. he will only film them from a safe distance

D. he believes there are safe opportunities to film them

B. The writer felt nervous that the bear might come back.

C. The bear seemed to know the writer wasn¡¯t a danger.
