Many things can affect our feelings. Not everything is interesting in life, but we still have to face them. How can we deal with these bad feelings and stay in good spirits? Here is what some people do.
Peter is my pen pal. He is from America. He’s an active boy. He likes doing sports. He usually plays tennis and basketball with his classmates after school. Sometimes he dances in the gym. Playing basketball is his favorite.
My best friend is Wang Li. We usually spend weekends together. On Saturdays and Sundays, We finish our homework first and then we watch TV or play games. We often talk about our problems and help each other to solve them. Sometimes we ask our parents or teachers for help.
Mr. Liu is my uncle. He enjoys talking about funny things with his friends. He laughs a lot and always says: “That’s easy”, “ No problem”,  “I can do it”. Look, he is talking with his  friends now.

Today is Saturday. It’s sunny and warm. Many children from No. 1 Middle School are at the Old People’s Home. Now, they’re helping the old people.
Look! Li Min and Zhan Ran are cleaning the windows. Ma Lan and Liu Qian are washing clothes.
What’s Li Na doing over there? Many old people are clapping their hands(鼓掌)for her. Oh,  she’s singing for them. Her song is really beautiful. And where’s the American boy, Tom? He likes helping others and he often comes here. Listen! Who’s speaking English? It’s Tom. He’s teaching two old people to speak English.
All the children and the old people are very happy. “We are happy when we help others, ” says Tom.
