Eric is my brother.  He is nine years old.  He is a good student.  But he cannot get up early.  He sleeps until nine or ten in the morning,  so he often arrives late for school. 

My father doesn’t want him to be late for school,  so he buys an alarm clock for Eric.  He says to Eric,  “You must get up when you hear the clock ring. ”

“Yes,  Dad, ” Eric says.  After that Eric gets up at six when he hears the clock ring. 

One day my father forgot to wind up(上发条) the clock.  And the next day Eric didn’t get up at six.  It was time for breakfast.  My father went to his room.  Eric was in bed and his eyes were open.  “Why didn’t you get up? ” My father said angrily. 

“You told me I must get up when I heared the clock ring.  And now I am waiting for the clock. ”

"The hair clip in my hair isn't mine．It's Millie's．She thought it looked good on me and she said I could have it for the evening．"
