When something goes wrong，it can be very satisfying to say，“Well, it’s so-and-so’s mistake.”or “I know I’m late，but it’s not my mistake；the car broke down.”It is probably not your mistake，but once you form the habit of blaming somebody or something else for a bad situation，you are a loser You have no power and could do nothing that helps change the situation. 　Winners are good at dealing with problems. For example, if you were late because your car broke down, maybe you need to have your car checked more regularly. 1. Why do airplanes take longer to fly west than east?

It can take five hours to go west-east from New York (NY) to London but seven hours to travel east-west from London to NY. The reason for the difference is an atmospheric phenomenon known as the jet (喷射) stream. The jet stream is a very high altitude wind which always blows from the west to the east across the Atlantic. The planes moving at a constant air speed thus go faster in the west-east direction when they are moving with the wind than in the opposite direction.

Information Card

Homework should be done as soon as you get home from school. If you have after-school activities, the homework should be done first. At the same time, it is fine to allow for a snack break and also to allow for stretching(拉伸的)breaks.

    Also, you should remember that it is your duty to do your homework. Next time, when you want to depend on Mom and Dad for help, please try to find the answer yourself, because you will learn much, much more that way.

When you have a question, especially something about a science or math, don't always turn to your teacher! It is a good idea to try to find the answer yourself. Kids can keep studying for 30-45 minutes from the ages of 13 to 15. This, of course, depends on your abilities to pay attention and stay on tasks.
