题目列表(包括答案和解析)
It is Sunday today. Ann is shopping with her mother. She wants her mother to buy a new sweater for her. In a clothing shop, she finds an orange one. She tries it on (试穿). It is too small. She wants a bigger one, but the bigger ones are not orange. Ann doesn’t like other colours. Her mother asks:” Shall we go to another shop to have a look? ” So they go out of the shop and go into another one.
The second shop is bigger than the first, and in it there are many kinds of sweaters of different sizes and colours. Ann tries on an orange one. It is too big. She tries a smaller one. It is OK.
“How much is it ?” Ann’s mother asks the women who sells clothes. Then they find it too dear (贵), and they don’t have so much money with them.
“Would you like a cheaper one ? ” The women asks.
“ No, we shall take this one. My daughter likes it. We will come back to buy it tomorrow. ” Ann’s mother answers.

Dear Lucy,
Why are you always very angry with Ann? I think you should stop it now.
You think she really wanted the P.E. teacher to know that you weren’t really sick yesterday, and that you went home just to study for your math test the next week. But let me tell you:1. . Ann is an honest(诚实的) girl. If you don’t want Ann to tell anyone your secret, you shouldn’t tell her the secret at all.
2. when the teacher asked her where you were. When she finally told the teacher“I think she felt sick and went home”, her face was all red. The teacher, of course, knew Ann wasn’t telling the truth (事实). So he asked Ann, “Is that really true?” Then Ann just looked down and said nothing. That’s how the teacher knew you weren’t sick yesterday. So the truth is: 3. .
I think you should forgive(原谅) Ann and stop acting like a baby. Before you went home, you should have let the teacher know first. 4. I think you should tell Ann you are sorry for asking her to do something wrong.
5. : do you really want to lose a friend because of something silly?
Love,
Linda

Dear John, Thank you very much for your letter. I am glad that you enjoyed your holiday with me. We enjoyed having you and your sister here. We hope that you will both be able to come again next year. Perhaps you’ll be able to stay longer next time you come. A week is not really long enough, is it? If your school has a five-week holiday next year, perhaps(或许) you’ll be able to stay with us for two or three weeks.
We have been back at school three weeks now. It feels like three months! I expect(期待) that you are both working very hard now that you are in Grade One. I shall have to work hard next year when I am in Grade One. Tom and Ann won’t be in Grade One until 2011.
They went for a picnic yesterday but I didn’t go with them because I cut my foot and I couldn’t walk very well. They went to an island and enjoyed themselves. Do you still remember the island? That’s where all five of us spent the last day of our holiday.
Tom, Ann and I send our best wishes to Betty and you. We hope to see you soon.
Yours sincerely,
Michael
