Complete the following passage with the words or phrases in the box. Each can only be used once(将下列单词或词组填入空格。每空格限填一词,每个单词或词组只能填一次):(共8分)

Dear Ronny,
Years ago you came to me for help. You said, “Grandpa, how is it that you’ve    小题1:   so much in your life? You’re still full of energy, and I’m already tired of trying hard. What should I do?” Here is what I believe.
I think a lot of it has to do with how a person looks at things. I call it ‘keeping your eyes wide  小题2:  ’.
First, realize that life is filled with  小题3:  , but many are good ones. If you don’t keep watching for them, you’ll miss   小题4:  of the excitement. Welcome challenges(挑战). They’ll make you wiser, stronger, and more powerful than you were the day before. When you make a mistake, be thankful for the things they teach you.

It’s also important to decide    小题5:  what you want. Then keep your mind focused on it, and be prepared to receive it.
But be ready to end up in some new places too. As you grow up, you’ll be given bigger shoes to fill. So be ready for endings    小题6:   challenging beginnings. Sometimes we have to be brave enough to move from the    小题7:  to the unfamiliar.
Remember that your decisions will create your successes and failures(失败). So consider all the roads ahead, and decide which ones to follow. Then believe in yourself, get up, and get going.
Most important of all, never give up yourself. The person that ends up as a winner is the one who has the strong will to win. Give life everything you’ve got, and life will give its    小题8:  back to you.
Love always,
Grandpa

阅读短文,根据其内容回答问题。
I was shopping in the supermarket when I heard the young voice.
"Mom, come here! There's this lady here my size!"
The mother rushed to her son; then she tumed to me to say "sorry".
I smiled and told her, "It's okay." Then I talked to the boy, "Hi, I'm Darryl Kramer. How are you?"
He studied me from head to toe, and asked, "Are you a little mommy?"
     "Yes, I have a son," I answered.
"Why are you so little?" he asked.
"It's the way I was bom," I said, "some people are little. Some are tall. I'm just not going to grow any
bigger." After I answered his other questions, I shook the boy's hand, and left.
My life as a little person is filled with stories like that. I enjoy talking to children and explaining why I
look different from their parents. I stand 114 cm tall. I was born an achondroplasia dwarf (侏儒). Despite
this, I did all the things other kids did when I was growing up.
I didn't realize how short I was until I started school. Some kids picked on me, calling me names (辱骂
我). Then I knew I began to hate the first day of school each year. New students would always look fixedly
at me as I tried hard to climb the school bus stairs.
But I learned to smile and accept the fact that I was going to be noticed my whole life. I decided to make
my uniqueness (与众不同) an advantage rather than a disadvantage. What I lacked (缺少) in height, I made
up for in personality.
I'm 47 now,and people are surprised when they see me driving. I try to keep a good attitude. When people
are not polite enough, I say to myself, "Look what else I have-a great family, nice friends."
It's the children's questions that make my life special. I enjoy answering their questions. My hope is that,
I will encourage them to accept the persons around them, whatever size and shape they come in, and treat
them in a friendly way.
