For the British, the home is private place in which he or she goes to hide away from the troubles of life. It is very seldom that one would be invited to a British person’s home. “I’m hungry, ” said Kelly as she and Sheila walked home from school .

The phone rang. “Hi, Mom , ” Kelly heard Sheila say . “ No, it’s okay. I understand. ” She hung up. “ My mom’s having dinner out again, ” she said . “ Are you sure you can’t stay for pizza? ”
“Sorry. I have to go or I’ll be late for dinner, ” said Kelly .
“Whatever. See you. ”
