Newspaper is very common in our daily life.I have noticed that almost every family buys at least one copy of a newspaper every day. Some people 1 buy as many as two or three different newspapers. But why do people 2 read newspapers since TV and Internet service today are so 3 and cheap?

Besides offering news from all over the 4 , newspapers give us a lot of other useful 5 .There are weather reports, radio, television, film guides and book reviews, 6 stories, and of course, advertisements. There are all kinds of advertisements. 7 companies pay the newspapers thousands of dollars for the advertising 8 to bring attention of 9 to their products so that their products can go into 10 every home. For those who 11 newspapers, advertisements make it possible for them to sell their newspapers at a 12 price. In fact, without the money from advertisements, any newspaper could hardly 13 in such a market of competition.

It is my view that people choose newspapers because they are cheap, they can be carried 14 and they can choose what to read, and how to read them. And they can read some parts again and again. These advantages make 15 still popular today.
