I have a friend whose parents live in another city. One day I went to see her. We had a nice conversation. Then she wanted to 21 . So she dialed the number , but then she put down the phone. After about fifteen seconds, she dialed the number again “I, Mom.”
Later I asked , “22 did you dial the number twice?”She smiled, “My parents are old and 23 . They can’t get close to the telephone quickly. I always do so when I call them. I just want to give them enough time to answer the call.”

A man called his son in New York the day before Christmas and said,  “I have to tell you your Mom and I are going to divorce(离婚) ! Thirty years is quite a long time.”

The old man hung up his phone and turned to his wife. “OK” he said, “they’re coming for Christmas and paying their own way.”
