John was seven. He lived with his grandparents in the countryside before he came to our class because his parents had to work in the city. They also had no time to take care of him. So he was a new student in our class. And he knew nothing about the things that happened in big cities. Now he was standing in the front of the classroom because Mr. Smith, the teacher, was asking John a lot of questions. But John couldn't answer any of them. It was the end-of-year party. I had asked my mother to make us cookies. Mom’s chocolate chips were the best.
