If you're tired of spending money like water on gas, maybe you'd just rather spend money on water.
That's what you'll be doing if a Japanese company has its way.
A company called Genepax has invented the first practical car to run only on water. The company
says putting just a litre(升) of water is enough to keep its car going for 60 minutes at a speed of 80
kilometers an hour. And forget about finding a gas station when you're running on empty. "The car will
continue to run as long as you have a bottle of water to fill from time to time," Genepax CEO Kiyoshi
Hirasawa said.
According to the company, the water gets poured into a tank(籍) at the back of the car and uses a
generator(发电机) to break it down and tum it into electrical (电的) power.
Genepax can't say yet when you'll be taking one of their cars for aride, but they hope it will one day
water down your need to ever visita gas station again.
