Everyone has their own dreams. They give us courage(勇气) and confidence to keep us going through difficulties. Here     some advice on how to realize our beautiful dreams.     giving up is the key to making our dreams come true. We may fail from time to time,     we can learn from failure(失败)， correct our mistakes and try again until we achieve our goals . For that reason, no matter     difficult problems we meet, we don’t fail unless we give up our hopes. Our life is like a long journey which is not all roses. It sometimes has wind and rain. We believe rainbows(彩虹) will appear after storms.  We will realize our dreams      last if we do our best. Cooperation (合作) is also necessary. Everyone likes a person who is good at cooperating with others . Besides, in our society , most problems can’t be    by one person alone.       is like a small part of a medicine. If one part isn’t     , the medicine can not work well. It’s hard for a person who is away from the society to have a deep understanding of the world . Cooperation is becoming one of     ways for people living in the developing society. As a saying goes, “ one tree doesn’t make a     ” . At the same time , we should learn to examine our abilities because it helps us know about our advantages and disadvantages as well as get a full control of ourselves. Then we may be confident enough to face challenges . Follow the suggestions above, and our dreams are sure to come true.

Ladies and Gentlemen, thank you. Well, ni-hao. (Laughter) It is such a pleasure and an honor to be here with all of you at this great university, so thank you so much for having me. I’m here today because I know that our future depends on connections like these among young people like you across the world.
That’s why when my husband and I travel abroad, we don’t just visit palaces and parliaments(国会) and meet with heads of countries. We also come to schools like this one to meet with students like you, because we believe that relationships between countries aren’t just about relationships between governments or leaders — they’re about relationships between people, particularly young people. So we view study abroad programs not just as an educational chance for students, but also as an active part of America’s foreign policy(政策).
Through the wonders of modern technology, our world is more connected than ever before. Ideas can cross oceans with the click of a mouse. Companies can do business and compete with companies across the world. And we can text, email, Skype with people in the world.
So studying abroad isn’t just a fun way to spend a time of learning; it is quickly becoming the key to success in our times. Because getting ahead in today’s workplaces isn’t just about getting good grades or test scores in school, which are important. It’s also about having real experience with the world beyond your borders — experience with languages, cultures and societies very different from your own. Or, as the Chinese saying goes: “It is better to travel ten thousand miles than to read ten thousand books.”

Many students have clear ideas about what jobs they would like to have in the future. We believe boys’ choices are different from girls’. To find out how different their choices are, we made a survey(调查) in No.50 Middle School. The following diagram(图表) shows the results of the survey.

Millions of stars are travelling about in space. A few form groups which travel together, but most of them travel alone.

And they travel through a universe which is so large that one star seldom comes near to another. For the most important part each star makes its journey in complete loneliness, like a ship on an empty ocean. The ship will be well over a million miles from its nearest neighbour. From this it is easy to understand why a star seldom finds another anywhere near it.

We believe, however, that some two thousand million years ago, another star wandering(漫游) through space, happened to come near our sun just as the sun and the moon raised its tides(潮汐) on the earth, so this star must have raised tides on the surface of the sun. But they were very different from the small tides that are raised in our oceans; A large tidal(潮汐的) wave must have travelled over the surface of the sun, at last forming a mountain so high that we cannot imagine it. As the cause of the disturbance came nearer, so the mountain rose higher and higher. And before the star began to move away again, its tidal pull had become so powerful that this mountain was torn to pieces and thrown off small parts of itself into space.

These small pieces have been going round the sun ever since. They are the planets.
