When Wang Boxuan, a Beijing high Schoolboy, uses up his exercise books, he does not throw them away. Each one is stored at school with hundreds of exercise books given by other students. Then they are sold to a Beijing paper making factory.

Why don't we just start our own?” Her husband nodded. Mr. and Mrs. Leland Stanford walked away, traveling to Palo Alto, California where they set up the university with their name, Stanford University, a memorial to a son that Harvard no longer cared about.
