Americans normally eat three meals a day. As most people are busy going to work and the children have to leave for school. They normally have eggs, some meat, fruit or fruit juice and coffee for breakfast. It is a light meal. Breakfast usually comes before eight o'clock in the morning. Lunch is served between twelve and one o'clock and it is often eaten away from home. People often have fast food for lunch near the workplace. Children take sandwiches, fruit and cookies to schools or eat in school canteens. Lunch is a light meal, too. Dinner, the main meal, is often between six and eight in the evening. Dinner is ordinarily planned around a meat course. They have pork, chicken and duck, etc. Of course , they also have potatoes, rice, a green or yellow vegetable, or a salad.
