On a hot summer day, a soft drink can really take away your thirst. At home, at school, in the park or at the movies—you can find one almost anywhere.

On a warm Monday, Jenny Neilson bought a sandwich and parked her car under some trees. Rolling down the windows to  41  in fresh air, she settled back to enjoy her lunch. On Saturday, millions of people around the world will celebrate Saint Patrick's Day, which honors Patron Saint (or main religious figure) of Ireland. Communities across the United States will host parades, parties, and other festivities to mark the occasion.
