Try and initiate conversations about other things and try to include the girl. Try and do things for each other, like making tea, to show you want to get on. If you can develop any sort of positive relationship with this girl, then it will make this problem easier to resolve. At the same time, it does sound like your roommate needs to learn a bit of giving and taking. It may not be such a bad thing to keep her awake late at night if she does not listen to your point of view. But do not try to annoy her deliberately; this will only make the situation worse. 4. I would try to make her aware of her own selfishness. I’d let her know how annoyed you feel when she stays on the phone for a long time. Or I would use a roundabout way to tell the girl about her mistakes. I might remind her that I’m waiting to make an urgent call in a few minutes. The last solution would be to turn to your tutor for help. But don't ask the teacher to scold or criticize her directly.
