第一节 情景作文 Possible version Early in the morning, we set out. Li Ming was carrying a compass and a tent in his backpack, and in mine there was a flashlight, a map, a knife, a first-aid kit, some matches, candles, food, and clothing. On the way to the campsite, we climbed a hill, and then we swam across a fiver, pushing the backpacks on a large piece of wood we had found by the river. As we got into a forest, we lost our way. Luck fly, we found the fight direction with the compass. By the time we arrived at the campsite, it had already been dark. Li Ming then put up the tent, and I made a fire and started cooking. The two of us spent the night in the forest. We learned to use knowledge gained in classroom training to solve problems. It was quite an experience for us both, which I'll never forget for the rest of my life. TAPESCRIPTS AND KEYS Text 1 W: I heard you got a full mark in the English exam. Congratulations! M: Thanks. I’m sure you also did a good job. Text 2 W: When are you going to set off for Shanghai on business? M: The day after tomorrow. That is the fourth of May. Text 3 W: Were there a lot of people at the concert last night? M: It was really very crowded. Some people were standing at the back of the concert hall. Text 4 M: The city government has decided to build a new hospital. W: It’s about time! I don’t know why it took so long. Text 5 W: Would you mind keeping the noise down? M: I’m sorry. Am I keeping you awake? Text 6 M: Mary, tomorrow is your mom’s 50th birthday, do you know? W: Of course I do. How shall we celebrate it? M: First of all, a birthday present. What about buying her a beautiful skirt? W: That’s a good idea. It’ll make her look younger. And a birthday cake, too, with 50 candles. M: That’s right. Shall we have a special dinner? W: We can have it at home. I’ve learned to cook a few dishes from a Chinese friend. I’m sure mom will like them. M: All right. Are you going to do the shopping as well? W: Why don’t we go together, Dad? M: OK. When? W: How about this afternoon? Text 7 M: Hello, Jane. You look happy. What happened? W: Hello, Tom. Nothing happened, but I am happy. M: Why? W: Well, we’re going home in three days’ time. I can’t wait to get home. I just can’t wait. No more rain. No more terrible coffee- M: Yes. I am quite looking forward to drinking good coffee again myself. W: And no more warm beer, or cold houses. You know, I haven’t been really warm since I got here. M: No, neither have I. By the way, where are you going to go next year? W: Back to England of course. I love it here. M: Except for the rain, the coffee, the beer and the cold houses! W: Oh, yes. But nowhere is perfect. Text 8 W: How many languages do you speak? Besides English, of course. M: I speak Spanish. W: Ah. How well do you speak it? M: Very well. I can write it too. W: Any other languages? M: I can speak a little French. But I can’t write it at all. W: A little French. Can’t write it. That’s it? M: Yes. W: And you want to join your beginners’ class in Japanese? M: Yes, please. W: Well, it’s not going to be easy, you know. It’s very different from English, Spanish or French. M: I know. But I want to do it. Text 9 W: Hi, Gary! Is this seat taken? M: No, it isn’t. Please go right ahead. W: I was surprised to see that you’re taking this class. I didn’t know you had any interest in painting. M: I don’t know much about it at all, so I thought it would be a good idea to take this course. W: Did you go to the exhibition last night? M: Unfortunately I couldn’t make it. They are open for one more day, so I’m going to see it tonight. What did you think of it? W: I loved it. Desiree’s paintings catch your eyes immediately, and then your eyes lock on them. M: I can’t wait to see them myself. And did you say the painter’s name was Desiree? W: She only uses that name when she paints. Her real name is Lisa Frank. Desiree really sounds more exciting, don’t you think? M: It sure does. Oh, it looks like Professor Brown is here. I’ll talk to you some more after class. Text 10 Mrs. Jone’s telephone number was 3463, and the number of the cinema in her town was 3464, so people often made a mistake when they wanted the cinema. One evening the telephone bell rang and Mrs. Jones answered it. A tired man said, “At what time does your last film begin? “I’m sorry, said Mrs. Jones, “but you have the wrong number. This is not the cinema. “Oh, it began twenty minutes ago, said the man. “I’m sorry about that. Goodbye. Mrs. Jones was very surprised, so she told her husband. Mr. Jones laughed and said, “The man’s wife wanted to go to the cinema, but he was feeling tired, so he telephoned the cinema. His wife heard him, but she didn’t hear you.
