第一节：短文改错（共10 小题：每小题1分，满分10分）

英语课上，老师要求同桌同学相互修改作文。假设以下作文为你同桌所写，请你对其进行修改。共有10处错误，每句最多两处。错误涉及一个单词的增加、删除或修改。

增加：在缺词处加一个漏词符号（∧），并在此符号下面写出该加的词。

删除：把多余的词用斜线（\）划掉。

修改：在错的词下划一横线，并在该词下面写出修改后的词。

注意：1．每处错误及其修改均仅限一词。

2．只允许修改10处，多者（从第11处起）不记分。

3．必须按答题要求做题，否则不给分。

I saw an accident happened on my way to home this afternoon. A girl was crossing the street on a zebra crossing while a young man drove a motorbike towards her. The young man saw the girl and tried to stop, and he drove too fast to stop. He hit the girl and fell off her motorbike. The girl was badly hurt and couldn’t move. The young man didn’t know how to do. I ran to a phone box nearby and dialed 110. Soon the police reached. They sent her hospital at once. One of the policeman talked to the young man and wrote something down while was talking. I think it is very dangerous to drive very fast.

When I first learned to write in English, I run into many difficulties. The main problem was in that I always thought in Chinese but tried to translate everything into Chinese. My teacher advised me to keep diaries. I followed her advices. Happily it worked. Soon I began to enjoy talk to myself on paper as I was learning to express me in simple English. One day I wrote a short story and showed to my teacher. She liked it very much that she read it to the class. Everyone said the story was the good one. I was great encouraged by their words.

Last Sunday I am about to leave the Green Lake Park when I met a foreign visitor whose seemed to be lost. I tried to help him but I found we had difficulty in understand each other because of my poor English. Just at that moment, tall young lady came to our help. He spoke very good English. With her help, the foreign visitor finally found the way but I learned some English as well. Before he left, the foreigner thanked to us for our kindness. I was very exciting that day. This experience have made me realize that English is real useful and worth learning. I will work hard at it from now on.

I was only 12 when we moved to California. I remember that I enjoyed flying non-stop

across a whole country and that I wasn’t very happy about leave my friends. But Dad think it’d

be good for we all to live in a suburb (郊区) instead in the middle of a city. And Uncle Jeff, his

brother, who’d been living in California for about 20 years, were always telling us how wonderful

California it was. He said it would be easily for Dad to get a job driving a taxi, that had been

Dad’s job in New York. But we all agreed to try it for one year.

Now we’ve been here for four years, and we all love it.
